Chiapas dominates coffee production in Mexico, accounting for about 40% of the country’s total production. Coffee is grown between 1,300 and 1,700 m altitude, benefiting from diverse microclimates and rich volcanic soils. The flavor profile is balanced, with notes of chocolate, caramel and citrus.
Under the Las Hortensias brand, the potential of organic coffee from Mexico is highlighted. This washed selection comes from Motozintla, the main city of the Sierra Mariscal region, near the border with Guatemala. In addition to organic certification, Las Hortensias is SHG EP: Strictly High Grown above 1,200 m altitude and European Preparation.
